Objectives

The client wanted to make an architectural layer called a sync engine for mobiles. The core objective was to make a client-side layer that processes all the data displayed in the mobile app. A robust communication platform was to be developed to handle network communication and authentication with local caching of data, audio-video library signals, encryption and decryption, and other bits and pieces.

The platform has four apps-

iOS app
Android app
Web application
Desktop app (for Mac, Linux, and Windows)

The Challenges

Setup server – it’s very long and complex process to setup server
Setup video call – need to install proper dependency for video call
In iOS, Setup Push notification for call and chat – limitation of iOS push notification not able to send push notification in iOS 13 device.
For Customize Application, we Edit methods from wire sync engine framework.

Our Solution

We integrated video calling feature with proper dependency and set the server. We also addressed the limitation of not sending push notification in iOS 13 device with advanced notification settings. We also introduced support for dark mode and end-to-end encryption in the application.
